How many of you have had people ask you, “Why do so many people fail in those network marketing businesses?” or “How come so many people get involved and they don’t have success- what’s the catch?”
Build Something, Stop Working, and Still Get Paid.
When I first got involved in network marketing, I remember them saying, “Less than 1% of the people that get involved will become millionaires.” I thought to myself, “Wait a second- I can become a millionaire promoting these products?” I thought that was amazing.
When they mentioned residual income, I didn’t know what it was, but when they explained it to me, I said, I like that. I need some of that in my life. Build something, stop working, and still get paid. It’s like getting a job, getting fired, they forgot they fired you and kept sending paychecks. It made a lot of sense, but here are the reasons people don’t win.

Top 3 Reasons People Fail in Network Marketing
Number One: They don’t talk to enough people.
This is one of the biggest distinctions. It’s not about getting lucky and just finding a few people. That could happen over time, but you have to be that person leading by example.
You have to be that person who’s in the trenches talking to so many people that inevitably people start to follow you and duplicate what you’re doing.
You’re probably not going to find someone that does the work that you’re not willing to do. So, they quit, because they’re looking for easy. Don’t look for easy, look for worth it. It’s netWORK marketing not NOTwork marketing.
Number Two: They don’t follow up and they don’t follow through.
They say, “I’m going to do videos every single day for 30 days, you can count on me”, then they stop after two weeks.
They don’t follow up with their prospects. I can’t tell you how many times someone has told me, “I checked out that business but the person that told me about the product or the person that shared the video with me never followed up”.
They don’t follow through with their promises, they don’t do the thing they said they were going to do and they don’t stick to their word.
Your integrity is everything and your commitment is everything. When you don’t do these things, that’s where #failure occurs. So, that’s why people quit. Because they’re not getting results.
You don’t have to be from a certain background to succeed in network marketing. You can be a man or woman, it doesn’t matter if you’re young or old, if you’re from Yale or jail- it’s all about what you do on a day-to-day basis and sticking to your commitment.
Number Three: They don’t go to events.
They don’t plug into company calls, company training or team training. They ask, “If I go to this event, is it going to be a bunch of “Ra-Ra”? The person that says they don’t need personal development is the person that needs it the most. They’re the ones with the biggest egos, they have the biggest challenges.
It is so important to stay plugged into that battery charger, and to stay near the campfire. If you get too far from the campfire, you’ll probably get cold. You need other people’s stories to inspire and motivate you.
I’ve never met a network marketing failure, I’ve only met network marketing quitters.
Number Four: Their expectations are too high.
They expect more people to join, more people to buy, and they expect to make money sooner. The best part about network marketing is it’s all you. If you win, it’s your fault. If you fail, it’s your fault. The truth is, people don’t fail in network marketing, they quit network marketing.
