When John first started out in network marketing, he found out that “Less than 1% of the people who get involved will become millionaires.” He didn’t focus on the small percentage, but on the fact that it was even possible!
The basic idea of network marketing is to build something, then stop working, and still be paid. Now, doesn’t that sound amazing? That’s what attracts most people but a lot of them don’t win. Here are 4 of the main reasons why network marketers fail.
Number 1: They Don’t Talk To Enough People
So true! We keep repeating it and yet many people still don’t do it. We know it’s not easy, especially in the beginning. You may feel self-conscious and uncomfortable. But it doesn’t matter — push through it because the end result is so worth it!
And if you want for people to follow you, you have to lead by example. Talk to as many people as possible and we promise you — the results will come. After all, it’s netWORK marketing, not NOTwork marketing, right?
Number 2: They Don’t Follow Up And They Don’t Follow Through
This one is also so important! When you deliver on every promise you’ve made, you build stronger relationships with your leads and prospects. But a lot of people simply don’t do it. Which is why they don’t get results. And which is why they the quit.
Do you know how many times we’ve heard this: “I checked out that business but the person who told me about the product/shared the video with me never followed up”. Those are missed opportunities. Remember: your integrity is everything! So be consistent and stick to your commitments!
Number 3: They Don’t Go To Events
And not only events. They don’t plug into the company calls or trainings. They don’t want to bother with the “ra-ra”. What does that even mean? Events, calls and trainings are designed to help you get better. They’re an investment in you. So if you don’t attend them, you’re only hurting yourself.
In our experience, we’ve found that the people who say they don’t need personal development, actually need it the most. They’re the ones with the biggest egos and they have the biggest challenges. So open your mind to the possibility that you don’t know everything, try to learn from other people, and you’ll see the change!
Number 4: Their Expectations Are Too High
Don’t you want to work for a month and boom — you get an MBA (Massive Bank Account)? Of course you do. But that’s not how it works. Network marketing isn’t instant rice. It takes time and it takes hard work but many people don’t realize that. So once things get a bit difficult, they prefer to just quit. Truth is, we’ve never met network marketing failures. We’ve only met network marketing quitters. So it’s all up to you!
