Creating a long-term video strategy requires hard work and persistence. But here’s the thing… There are shortcuts. And inside this training, we want to share with you the 6 best ways to get more views, even if you’re brand new!

Facebook Marketing: 6 Ways to Get More Views When You’re Brand New
Tip #1: Have A Good Hook
What does that mean? You do have to sell people on stopping the scroll and watching your video.
So the first thing you need to think about is how to optimize your headline to either peak curiosity or showcase the kind of value you’re going to offer in your broadcast.
Why? Because when someone hits the play button, it’s typically because they’re intrigued by the topic or by the conversation.
Once people are already on your video, they need to see you start talking immediately. Don’t worry about people who join your Live late. Most of your views will come from the replay anyway. So if you start the video with, “Hey, we’re just waiting for a few live viewers to hop on”, the replay viewers are going to hop right off. So just get right into it.

Tip #2: Diversify Your Videos
In other words, you need to play with different modalities of how you project your message!
And if you’re new to creating Live broadcasts, we recommend that you set a goal of going Live 21 times in 21 days. Why? Because what happens is the more you do it, the better you’ll become.
It’s important to note that those 21 videos don’t have to be long or even very informative. But you need to do it consistently. Why? So you can get into the habit of showing up every day!
Remember: it’s not about you, it’s about them! It’s about how you can impact a person watching your video.
And the more you play around with the various modalities, the faster you will find the types of videos that:
- you love to do
- your audience loves to watch
That’s called the sweet spot and you can’t figure this out in your head. It’s like playing a sport. You have to pick up the ball and throw it to see if you like it!
PRO Tip: Start doing interviews or master TikTok. Challenge yourself to keep evolving and identifying new exposure agents.
Tip #3: Energy Over Strategy
Sure, it’s important to have good content. BUT! Having energy and being fired up — it’s what people will get drawn to! You don’t have to be as fired up as we are, but just be you times two!
Step it up a notch. You’re on camera which is different than when you meet someone in person. That’s why you have to project more energy. Bring the joy and enthusiasm to your conversation! Get excited and tell your face about it!
PRO Tip: Start paying attention to when you feel more energetic and as if the words are naturally flowing out of you! Those are the times of day you should go Live! It doesn’t matter when most people are online. What’s more important is that when you show up, you’re fired up!
Tip #4: Promote Your Live Ahead of Time
If you’re thinking of going Live tonight at 8 pm, tell your friends about it! Alert the elders!
Here are a few examples of different ways to promote your broadcast:
a) Post about it on your Facebook and/or Instagram story.
b) Do a post in one of your groups. Just say something along the lines of:
- “Hey, I’m going to go Live tonight and I’ve got a special guest that I’m going to be interviewing,”
- “I’m going live tonight with a big announcement,”
- “Hey, I’m going live tonight with some tips on how to do ABC…”
c) Go to your previous video, drop into the comments, and let everyone know that you’re about to go Live in 1 hour or in 10 minutes. This is a great strategy because it’ll let your viewers know about your new video, and it’ll bring the old video back up into the News Feed!
d) Engage with a few posts. Go wave to some people on Messenger. Warm up the algorithm 15 minutes before you go Live.
Add this into your workflow and you’ll start seeing amazing results!
IMP: Make sure you budget in 15-20 minutes after your Live to engage with the comments below to continue the conversation. That’s a great way to alert the algorithm that you’re creating conversations and that’s what they want!
Tip #5: Optimize Whilst You’re Live
Before you go Live, make sure that you jot down a few bullet points that you want to stick to, so you can stay on track. Of course, don’t be too scripted — have the co-creating piece with your audience.
BUT! What you can also do is write down several strategic CTCs (calls to comment), or a few questions that you want to ask your audience while you’re Live.
Your goal should be to encourage your viewers to engage in the comments. That way your video will reach more people!
Tip #6: Keep Showing Up
Do you want big success? Then it’s critical that you keep showing up until…
- it works;
- your following grows exponentially;
- you start seeing the results you desire!
Commitment is doing the thing you said you would do long after the mood you said it in has left you! When people are struggling, it’s typically because either they’re not doing the back-end work (prospecting), or they’re not doing the front-end work (putting out content, doing videos, building a personal brand).
If you want to live a 1% life, and you want to be one of those people who creates unusual results, you’re going to have to do something extraordinary. And one thing that is extraordinary, is to show up on a consistent basis, doing videos and putting out content.

Bonus Tip: Add Captions to Your Videos
Statistics don’t lie. Most people scroll through their newsfeed with the sound OFF! So if they come across your video, and see your captions, they might decide to get their headphones and see what you’re all about!
