#1. You Give People Too Much Information
Don’t overwhelm your potential customers! Just don’t. Confused people do nothing!
Pump the breaks — don’t give too much too quickly.
Give them enough information to keep them interested and let them come to you for more.
#2. You Don’t Show Enough Emotion
You have to be excited! Show people your passion!
They won’t join in if you’re not fired up.
The best way to troubleshoot this is to record yourself pitching your product or service. Then listen to what you are saying.
Be skeptical, examine the evidence, and then start making little improvements daily.
#3. “I Don’t Have Time to Listen to Your Pitch”
Are you serious? Hey, that’s not a valid reason!
We make time for things that are important to us. If your potential customers don’t have enough time to listen to you, ask yourself this: have you done a good enough job of getting their attention?
You’re also not looking to convince everybody. Focus on those people who are open to listen! And of course, continue your marketing.
#4. Wrong Timing
What do your prospects have going on in their personal life?
Perhaps, you’re trying to pitch an opportunity to someone but they just got involved with a new business, or they got married. It’s just not the right time!
But think about it like this — you’re planting seeds. Someday maybe the timing will be right, and if they become open to an opportunity, you will be there for them! That’s why it’s so important to build relationships!
#5. They Don’t Like You
This might be tough to hear. People might not like you.
But that’s all right — don’t stress out, and work on it! Take a step back, and think “Would I buy this from me? ”, “Would I respond to this message in a positive way? ”
Try to mix it up — instead of talking about your product, talk about something else. Send your customers a funny GIF or emoji, and see how they respond. Funny equals money!
But remember: it’s not your job to please everybody!
#6. They Don’t Think They Need It
Sometimes we assume the wrong thing. We assume that customers are not interested in whatever it is we have to offer them. But we don’t consider that they don’t know enough to make an educated decision.
Ask yourself this: “Is education part of my portfolio?” And when people join you, find out what is the real reason. Get to the bottom of it! It’s all a matter of belief in your product.
#7. “I Don’t Have Money.”
