The truth is, goal-setting can be a total snooze-fest and a lot of us struggle along the way.
But here’s the thing, when it’s done right, setting and mapping out your goals is must if you want to create the success you desire quick and in a hurry!
So how do we set goals and actually achieve them?
The short answer: set an intention, create an action plan, and follow it every day, without any excuses.
To help you out, we’re going to walk you through the 7 steps we use to set and accomplish any goal! Let’s dive in!
Goal-Setting: 7 Effective Steps to Achieving Any Goal
Before we jump into it, let’s get one thing straight…
Sometimes it’s not about the goal. It’s about you stretching yourself.
Think of yourself as a GPS. How good is a GPS if you don’t know where you’re going? It’s useless. That’s why you need to set activity and result-based goals.
And the most important thing is to get out of your own way and stop allowing fear to prevent you from greatness. Most people listen to OPO (other people’s opinions) while wealthy people use OPI (other people’s ideas), OPM (other people’s money), and OPE (other people’s efforts).
Realize how powerful your brain is. You’re a miracle and you have so much power.
The truth is, what you think about, you bring about. A lot of us think about how broke we are and that’s what we attract. There’s life and death in the tongue, y’all!
Repeat after us:
- “I’m a money magnet”
- “I’m healthy and I’m wealthy”
- “I’m a powerful leader”
What will you do every day to turn this into reality and keep yourself accountable?
IMP: You don’t want your goals to be too ginormous because it will only make the process even more unreachable. But neither do you want tiny, baby goals, that are not inspiring you to get out of your comfort zone. Choose courage over comfort!
There has to be a beautiful balance. Let’s go over these seven steps and find it, together.
Step #1: Make a Decision
It sounds very simple but it’s extremely effective. Decide what you want to run after!
Now, the question becomes – how far into the future should you set the goal for? 5, 10 years?
We prefer to plan 12 months in advance and break it up into quarters and categories: business goals, personal goals (health goals, beauty goals, etc.)
That way, you’ll be able to track them better.
Step #2: Write Them Down
Studies show we are 42% more likely to achieve our goals if we write them down. Self-made millionaire Grant Cardone writes his goals twice a day:
“I want to write my goals down before I go to sleep at night because they are important to me, they are valuable to me and I get to wake up to them again tomorrow.”
Putting pen to paper is very powerful!
Step #3: Share Your Goals
When you share your goals with your family, friends, your upline, your team, something awesome happens. It’s called social accountability and it has to do with taking ownership of your actions, decisions, successes, and failures.
You can even hire a coach—someone who will help you accelerate the process, instead of you just winging it and figuring it out on your own.
Step #4: Get Down to the Nitty-Gritty
If you want to create a professional level of income, you need to get into the details. You have to break it down into daily activity goals, add them to your daily to-do list, and get focused on crushing them. That’s how you set yourself up for success.
Back in the day, we used to do this 100 Box Challenge, where your goal was to do 100 presentations in 30 days and get 100 people in front of the opportunity.
Here’s how to apply it today:
You can ATM 100 people or do 100 referral posts—whatever your focus is this month. Divide it per week and fill up 25 boxes weekly: for example, get 25 humans in an ATM group/ 25 in a group chat with your upline/ 25 posting up a referral post, etc.

Nadya’s Tip: I love to troubleshoot weak points in my life one at a time. And I use Brendon Burchard’s technique to ground myself. He says there are only two narratives in human history: a story of struggle and a story of progress. I identify the #1 struggle for me right now and how can I make progress every day.
Step #5: Show up Daily and Make Progress
Progress creates happiness.
It’s important for us to have a long-term vision of what we want to create and big goals, but none of it is relevant if we don’t show up daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly.
Only when we show up every single day focusing on our activity goals, results will follow.
John’s Tip: Get a whiteboard, place it somewhere where you can see it, and add your daily progress.
Step #6: Keep Going
Rome was not built in a day.
You have to believe you are going to see results, but it won’t happen overnight. We built the success we experience today brick by brick.
PRO Tip: Once you know your big goal, get your kids involved. Enroll your team into it. The dream team will get you the dream life.
Step #7: Celebrate Wins
Whenever you hit your activity goals, find ways to celebrate. Whether it’s alone, with your partner, or with your kids, you should applaud yourself for how far you’ve come.
As you can see, the recipe for mastering goal-setting is to get clear on your vision, make your plan, take action, and don’t give up. Never fails.
