How many people would you like to recruit per month — 5, 10, 20?
I typically recruit 5 to 10 people a month. Even with the size of our business today, I still try to go out there and personally enroll people. And you can do the same!

How to Build a Profitable Network Marketing Team Without Losing People
Tip #1: Help Your Team Succeed
When someone new joins my team, I don’t get too excited. I’m more excited when I’m helping them get paid and achieve their goal. There’s a reason they got started and invested their money. So I want to see them win and make the money back.
Yes, it can feel amazing when you get a customer or when you enrolled somebody new. But let’s be honest, it’s not exciting if they never order again or if they quit tomorrow.
So work with that person and see them through the finish line! Help them launch their business, encourage them, plug them into the training. That is what counts!
Tip #2: Work with the Studs
That’s right! Work with the studs, no matter where they are on your team!
So here’s what that means. Have you ever heard of tap-rooting? When you recruit someone, they start building a little customer base and start achieving success. But sometimes you don’t work with their team because you don’t feel that it’s right. You only work with your personal recruits. And I’m telling you, this is a recipe for disaster! Some of the best people within your organization are not going to be your personal recruits. They’re not even going to be the people that your personal recruits recruit.
Yes! Sometimes your best people are going to be 3, 4, 5, 10 levels removed from you. And it’s so important for you to reach down deep and identify the best people in your organization!
Of course, sometimes such a person can be a personal recruit. But other times, you might bring in a dud that ends up recruiting a stud. And that stud will never meet you if you’re only working directly with the dud. Start thinking differently about your organization and realize that as a business owner, you’ve got to get in the trenches.
Tip #3: Lead by Example
This is a simple but powerful concept. Whatever you want for your team to do, you need to be doing it first.
Do you want your team to be ATMing? Then you need to go out there and ATM your face off. If you want your team to be on the leaderboard, you need to get on the leaderboard yourself! And if you want your team to do videos, you need to be doing videos!
What about if your team’s production is not where you want it to be? Then go build some new teams! Sometimes people ask me why I still recruit. #1) if I recruit someone that goes out and builds a massive business, that’s great for me and #2) it keeps me sharp! Why? Because I’m out there doing exactly what I’m telling you to do!
That’s right! When I tell you to do videos, you’re much more likely to listen because I do videos. I’m telling you to lead by example because I lead by example!
PRO Tip: Stay in touch with your personal recruits!
Sometimes we forget what it’s like to be new. We forget how fragile we are, how scared we are. That’s why I do my best to stay in touch with my best people, but also with my personal recruits, so I can develop the relationship we’ve already built.
