Prospecting is a proactive money-making activity. It’s you reaching out to people, having a conversation and seeing if they’re open. And it doesn’t matter if you’re selling makeup, services, products, you have to create conversations. As a network marketer, you are a professional conversation starter! So your whole mindset needs to be to build relationships and create conversations!
PRO Tip: Don’t waste a lot of time building relationships with people and never bringing up your product or business. I would rather you brought up your product or business very early rather than late or never!
The Path of Least Resistance
Do you prefer the direct or indirect approach of prospecting?
Most people will take the path of least resistance because it’s easier. It’s easier to do the indirect approach or wait until they ask you, but that’s not the most effective way to prospect.
I don’t want you to take the path of least resistance.
Do The Work
Here’s the deal. You could read all the books in the world, you could listen to all the inspirational motivational speeches, you could have all the coaching calls and mentors, but you just have to execute.
Some people don’t even post about their business or product on their wall. There are too many people who get involved in network marketing who are like secret agents.
But the truth is, nothing is ever going to happen until you start talking to people. It’s Network Marketing, not Not Work Marketing.
So find strategic ways to mention your product or opportunity, and weave them into your content!
Right or Wrong
There isn’t this a right or wrong way to do things, and you have to figure out what works best for YOU!
If what you’re doing isn’t working and you’ve been doing it for a long time, it’s time to make some adjustments!
We have people on our team who are crushing it using Attraction Marketing, while others are blowing up because they’re reaching out to 10-20 people per day. It’s all about figuring out what works best for you and your personality!
Embrace the Suck
You’ll be bad before you’re good, good before you’re great, and great before you’re exceptional. That’s just the way it is, and you have to learn to be ok with it.
It’s time for you to get uncomfortable and reach out to the humans. You need to be proactive and reach out to them. Because you will never accomplish your goals if you stay in the Scared Mode or the I-Care-What-Other-People-Think-Of-Me Mode.
Think about all the lives that you won’t impact, all of the people who need network marketing, who need your product. You have a miracle in your mouth!
There’s people right now on your friends list, in your network, in your neighborhood who are praying every night for a product like yours, an opportunity like yours, and you’re keeping it a secret? It’s time to stop!
