Master One Thing
When Tanya first started her own business back in 2009, she wanted to learn how to leverage the internet.
She knew that more and more people were using this tool to look for solutions that her product could solve. So she needed to find a way to get in front of those people.
Tanya quickly learned that “where you put your focus is where you’re going to get your results.”
For you that might be Facebook Live, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels. Whatever you decide, focus on it.
Once you get really good at it, guess what? You can start teaching it!
People want to know what it is that you’re doing and how it is that you’re getting the results that you’re getting. Whether they’re small or big results, it doesn’t matter—they’re results.
So Tanya’s next question was,
- “How do I attract the right people on social media, and how do I become the most efficient with my time when I’m online?”
Because being glued to your phone or laptop every day is not a life. So she started focusing on the things that produced the most profits.
That’s how Tanya created her formula called Four Ps to Seven Figures. Let’s break them down!
You might be thinking, “Of course I’ve got to plan” but how exactly should you go about it?
Because this is all about creating content on social media that attracts the perfect buyers, gets people engaged with your content, and attracts the right people who are interested in what it is that you’re selling.
That’s why you need to know who your ideal customer is.
So how do you figure this out?
Take a look at what it is that you’re selling. If you have a range of products, choose one product or program to focus on. For example, dedicate this month to your skincare program.
PRO Tip: Choose a product that has the potential to make you a decent amount of money.
Next, think about the benefits of your product and who would this be perfect for? What content can you create that will serve those people and lead congruently into what it is that you’re selling?
Then write down five topics that you could create content around and go to Google. There, you’ll find content for years!
IMP: Before you post on social media, you have to come up with a catchy title that would draw people in.
Ask yourself, how are you going to show up consistently each week for your tribe?
Because now you’ve got to produce the content. What does that mean?
That means actually creating that high-value piece of content. And doing Live or pre-recorded videos is still the best way to go.
So you’re going to shoot the video or you’re going to do the Facebook Live, or the IG Reel, or the TikTok, or the YouTube, or the blog post. Whatever it is for you, you’re going to produce that piece of content.
And remember: you don’t have to do everything all at once!
So where’s the one place that you’re going to show up consistently every single week? And then what is the time and day of the week that you are going to condition your tribe to know when and where to expect you with that information?
This is where the magic happens and this is how you leverage yourself best!
You’ve already produced your content for your main platform. So now you have to promote it everywhere else.
In other words, you don’t have to create content for every channel that you’re on. You just have to leverage the content you already have.
Remember this ratio: 20% of the time, plan and produce. 80% of the time, promote and profit.
Consistency is the secret to actually turning a profit.
So you’re creating your high-value piece of content, you’re producing it and promoting it. That means you are going to have people who will engage with that content.
And you’re going to need to follow up with them and turn that conversation into a sale. That’s going to be the most important part.
Because you can’t just post and expect profits to start coming. You need to have a plan.
Most people who see your content for the very first time are not going to buy. But they might buy if they have a second or a third, fourth exposure. That’s why you need a way to be able to follow up with them.
Tanya’s Business Model
What’s the best way to capture people’s information so you can follow up with them and only bring in the people who are interested in the benefits of what your product or service provides?
Tanya uses her so-called “Freebie Method”.
The main idea is to build your email list and to build your credibility with your audience so that they know you’re not just trying to sell them something.
For example, when Tanya started out, she focused on a product that helped people reduce inflammation. So she created a freebie called “Ten Foods to Incorporate in Your Diet that Help You to Reduce Inflammation in Your Body”. This took her an hour and then at the end, she had a call to action for them to buy her product with a couple of testimonials and her affiliate link.
What ended up happening was that people would put their name and email address to get that freebie and this would add them to Tanya’s email list. Then she would have a series of emails that would help warm them up to her and to the products she sold.
And that’s how she started getting automatic sales!
