Want to convert likes and comments into sales?
One thing that we often hear from people is that they work on their skillsets and they:
- show up to social media consistently
- post Stories
- do curiosity posts
But when the time comes to close the loop (or take the customer to the next level), they get a little bit nervous.
So let’s talk about it!
Inside this training, we’ll take a closer look at exactly what you need to do in order to convert likes and comments into sales like a PRO using our ingenious CLOSE the LOOP formula! Let’s dive right in!
How to Convert Social Media Likes and Comments into Sales
First things first: let's talk about closing!
Do you:
A. Go straight for the jugular?
B. Build rapport before popping the question?
C. Wait for prospects to ask you about your business or opportunity?
This is a really interesting debate. Because going straight for the jugular means that you reach out to people and pop the question in your very first message. For example:
- "Hey Sam, how's it going? I wanted to reach out to you because I'm expanding my business in your area and I wanted to see if you're open-minded to an opportunity because we're looking for amazing people just like you."
Building rapport, on the other hand, means that you get a little back and forth with your prospects. But don't overdo it. Don't build rapport for days, weeks, months, or even years, and don't wait for them to magically one day ask you if you have a business or a product that they'd be interested in.
Because the truth is, there isn't anything better than someone asking you about your products or business. But you also have to be proactive and pop the question.

Proactive Prospecting
You want to reach out to people and you want to ATM them. That's where our 5-5-3 formula comes into play, and you can look at it as the foundation of your success.
Here's how it works:
- Friend up 5 new people/day
Yes, you should friend up 5 new people a day but here's the thing. How many friends do you have right now? And then, what is the percentage of people that you've talked to about your business or product in the last six months? We guarantee you that for most people that percentage will be less than 10%.
So focus on reaching out to your existing warm market before you start friending up new people.
- Pique the interest of 5 people/day
This is very important. You've got to be popping the question five times a day, especially if you don't have people coming to you.
- ATM 3 people/day
Here's the thing... It doesn't matter if you talk to people, unless you get them in your ATM groups or put them in chats and you introduce them to other people. Because this is all about closing, and the sooner you start introducing your prospects to other people, the sooner you start making money!
Now, imagine if you did this over the course of a month! You would've reconnected or friended up 150 people and you would've popped the question 150 times. And even if you get 150 No's, those are not "No, never" - those are "No, not yet".
In fact, you will have planted 150 seeds. And this is why you continue to show up on social media with value, stories, authenticity, and humor. Why? Because you're watering the seeds you planted.

So, let's get into the nitty-gritty!
Helpful Hints:
-
People aren’t necessarily looking for an opportunity or product—but they are looking for a solution to a problem. Focus on the benefits and why you’re excited.
-
Remember, this is only an invitation, not a presentation. When you get a yes, let the tools do the talking. Add them to the ATM groups and once they accept the invite, tag them in the appropriate information.
-
Use the Audio Recorder - You will be so much more impactful in your conversations because your prospects will hear the tonality and enthusiasm in your voice. Remember, nothing great happens until you get excited and tell your face! 😜
-
Before reaching out to someone you haven’t spoken to recently, take a moment to check out their profile first. It might be helpful to see what they’re up to.
-
Don’t get hung up on any one prospect. If someone doesn't respond to you, that’s OK. Just delete them. 😂 JK! Some will, some won’t, some wait, someone else is waiting. NEXT!

The Movie Trailer
Let's talk about the foundation of CLOSE the LOOP.
Think of your prospecting as the trailer to the movie.
When you watch a trailer, the producers are telling you just enough information to pique your curiosity, but they leave an open loop and so you think, "I need to know what happens next!"
And when it comes to popping the question?
The truth is, it depends. It depends on the relationship, on the person, on the timing. For example, if someone is on vacation or if they just got promoted and posted about it, it's probably not the best time to prospect them. In this case, it might make more sense to present your product.
PRO Tip: Likeability is a thing. That's the harsh truth. You'll notice that a lot of the top earners in your network marketing company are likable, right? But the problem is when we're brand new, even if people like us, they might not trust or respect us just yet. That's why it's important that you get yourself out of the way and introduce them to other leaders!
Now, let’s look at what each part of the CLOSE the LOOP abbreviation and see how you can apply these strategies in your business.
#1. Compliment and Connect
Go check out their Facebook profile, see what they're into or what they've got going on, and find some common ground. Leave them comments or pay them a compliment about a recent achievement. Respond to people's Stories so you can get immediately in their inbox.
You can also reach out and say something like:
- "Hey Sarah, how's it going? Beautiful family. Would love to catch up with you and find out what you've been up to."
#2. Lead with the Product or the Business
We recommend that you wait for the prospect to respond. Then once you get a little back and forth going on, you can choose whether you want to lead with the business or the product and how you’ll bring that up.
- Do they have their own business? Lead with the business.
- Do they struggle with an issue your product can solve? Lead with the product.
PRO Tip #1: There are more people who eat at restaurants than who own restaurants. The same is true in business. Most people are interested in the product rather than the business at first. That’s why we teach to lead with the product. However, your business, your rules!
PRO Tip #2: Try leading with the business with 50 people, and then try leading with the product with 50 different people. After that, you'll get a very good idea of what feels more natural for you. Because recruiting and building your business - it's a science and an art!
#3. Obey Your Intuition
When reaching out to prospects on social media, pay attention to how they respond back. If someone's giving you short, one-word responses or they seem like they're in the middle of something, step back. You don’t wanna pursue someone who you feel is pulling back. Maybe they're busy, or they don't trust you yet.
You're sorting your way to success, and if you're not getting the vibe from the person, just scootch on to the next one.
As Brendon Burchard puts it: "If you want to elevate your income to that next level, you have to elevate your energy." And the truth is, there's so much abundance out there, so don't waste your energy!
#4. Share Your Story and Your Why
Sometimes people get hung up on this because they go, "I haven't lost weight or I haven't made money yet."
So then talk about your why!
One thing to keep in mind is people relate to people, not products. Stories sell. That’s why you should always tell people your story or, at the very least, why you’re in business. It can be as simple as:
- "I'm using this product so I can get in shape/so I can lose weight/so I can have more energy to play with my kids. And I'm in this business so I can fire my boss/finally, pay off my student loans."
OR
- "I partnered up with this company/found some incredible products/I'm so excited to endorse and promote to my network of people. So, if you know anybody that would love to lose weight/to reverse the aging process/to earn income online from home, I would love to connect with them!"
When you tell people that, don't you think some of them will be able to relate and will want to talk to you about it?
And how can you effectively structure your story?
Part #1. Who are you: your background/job/passions—what makes you… YOU.
Part #2. Why were you looking for something new?
Part #3. How did you find it?
Part #4. What’s your transformation story?
#5. Expose, Involve, Upgrade
The next step is to get your leads involved in the community. Expose them to your ATM groups and put them in group chats, introduce them to other people.
The more group chats we do, the more money we make, for two reasons. One, we're helping our downline enroll more customers. Two, once prospects become part of the community, a lot of them soon upgrade from customers to distributors.
PRO Tip: Using a system means Saving YourSelf Time, Energy and Money. Read more about how we duplicate our business and create massive results with the ATM System.
#6. List Your Exposures
You want to keep track of every single human you add to your ATM groups. You can either use a journal or an online tool.
#7. Organize
Organization is key to long-term success. We've got to get organized in our workflows and schedules.
And consider this: in which part of the day do you have your best energy?
That next level of success is going to take that next level of energy. So, if you are a morning person, do your income-producing activities in the morning.
This is going to increase your happiness level and decrease your annoyance level. And as a result, everybody around you will be happier. This, in turn, will give you more confidence and that's going to give you more posture.
#8. Omnipresence
What does this even mean? You've got to be everywhere all the time.
Focus on mastering the skill of repurposing content. For example, we’re using StreamYard to broadcast video on five different platforms at the same time. Our podcast manager will take the audio from this training, make edits and load it up to our podcast. Then, our video editor will take snippets of this training and turn them into a YouTube training. Our writers will take the transcript and turn it into an article on our blog for you to enjoy.
Now... Don't get overwhelmed by the idea. Our goal is to help you future pace what your online presence could look like 12-36 months from now. The big secret here is hiring people to help you. Click here to tune into our training on how to outsource and hire help for as little as $5/hour.
#9. Persistence
If you're serious about your business, you need a long-term winning vision. This is not a get-rich-overnight scheme, so embrace the thought that it's going to take some time to become successful.
This is why it's really important to understand the value of building a personal brand. That's what changed the game for us. We went from six figures a year to multiple six figures a month because we started leveraging social media as a tool for our business.
Remember to be a human first, marketer second ALWAYS.
